This Privacy Policy (this “Policy”) informs you how Vervepool collects, uses, shares, and stores information through this website (this “Site”). This Policy also describes your choices, how we secure your personal information, and how you can contact us.
    Your use of this Site is conclusively deemed to be your acceptance of this Policy and your consent to the practices described. Please review this Policy carefully.

    Information We Collect

    1. Information you provide

    You may provide us with, and we may collect, information that can be used to identify you as an individual such as your name, email address, mailing address, telephone number, payment information, date of birth, interests, education, photographs, and videos. The types of personal information we collect may vary depending on your use of the features of the Site. For example, when you register with the Site we will collect and store your name, email address, mailing address, date of birth, telephone number, and any other information you choose to include in your profile.

    Additionally, we may collect reviews you post about your experiences with a particular job-seeker or job-poster, which will be published for other registered users to see.

    We may also collect information when you access our Site through a social network. For example, when you sign in or create an account using the Facebook feature on the Site, Facebook may provide us with information such as your social network user ID, your profile picture, and other personal information about you to facilitate sign in or creation of the account.

    Finally, we may also collect non-personal information that you provide. For example, if you are a business posting an opening, we will collect details about the event you are hosting, the positions you are trying to fill, and other details and information that you may choose to include in the job posting.

    2. Information collected automatically

    We collect some information automatically when you access and navigate our Site. This information includes Device Identifiers (a number or code that is associated with the computer or other device used to access the Site, such as an IP address) and Usage Information (information regarding how you access and use the Site, such as your browser type, operating system, application versions, the pages you visited, and the time you spent on each page). We use this information to maintain and improve the functionality of the Site to provide you with a better experience.

    Like most websites we also use “cookies,” which are data files placed on your device when you access the Site. Cookies can collect Device Identifiers and Usage Information when you access the Site. We use cookies to facilitate your navigation of the Site and provide you with a more relevant experience, to serve ads to you, and track you over time and across third party sites.     3. Use and Sharing of Information

    2. Include in job postings or profiles;
    3. Contact you and respond to your questions and requests;
    4. Send you promotional materials and other information about our services, features, and offerings
    5. Provide you with customer support and troubleshoot problems;
    6. Enable both job-seekers and job-posters to refine their searches based on specified criteria;
    7. Connect job-seekers and job-posters and facilitate transactions and payments;
    8. Perform analytics of the Site and otherwise conduct our everyday business operations;
    9. Protect the security and integrity of the Site;
    10. Protect against, identify and seek to prevent fraud and other unlawful activity, claims, and other liabilities;
    11. Enforce our Terms of Use; and
    12. Comply with and enforce applicable legal requirements, relevant industry standards, contractual obligations, and our policies.

    We also share your information, including personal information, for a variety of purposes in order to carry out these and other business purposes. For example, we may share your information in the following circumstances:

    4. With Other Users

    Use of the Vervepool Site facilitates contact between job-seekers and job-posters. Vervepool will share information you provide through the Site, including personal information, with other registered users in order to facilitate these transactions. For example, if you are a job-seeker, we will make your profile information available for other registered users to view, such as your name, the city and state in which you are based, your education, and categories of job you are interested in.
    Subject to your local laws, a person over 15 but under 18 can use an adult’s account with the permission of the account holder. However, the account holder is responsible for everything done with that account.

    5. Service Providers

    We may share your information, including personal information, with service providers that help us run our business. For example, we may share information with our service providers to help us process payments for transaction purposes, and with other vendors that help us communicate with you through email.

    6. Protecting Our Company and Others

    We may also transfer and disclose your information, including personal information, to third parties:

    1. To comply with a legal obligation;
    2. When we believe in good faith that the law requires it;
    3. At the request of governmental authorities conducting an investigation;
    4. To verify or enforce our Terms of Use or other applicable policies;

    7. Business Transfers

    You can visit and browse the Site without providing any personal information, and you may choose not to provide us with any of the personal information that we request. Choosing not to provide us with the personal information we request may limit your ability to use this Site. For example, you cannot create an account with the Site without first providing us with the information we require, such as your name and contact information (email address, phone number, etc.).

    1. Changing Your Information or Contact Preferences

    If you create an account on the Site you can modify your information and contact preferences at any time by logging in to your profile on the Site and changing your information and preferences. If you have any questions or concerns, you can contact us using the information provided in the “Contact Us” section of this Policy.

    2. Email Opt-Out

    We may send you emails to communicate important information, notify you of new Site features, let you know about special promotions or offerings, and to otherwise stay in touch with you. You can opt-out of receiving these communications at any time by selecting “opt-out” on one of the email communications.

    3. Managing Cookies

    You can also choose not to provide us with some of the information that we collect automatically. Most web browsers allow you to choose whether to accept cookies, reject cookies, or receive notice each time a cookie is sent to you. Choosing to reject cookies can prevent the Site from collecting some of the information. However, please know that if your browser is set to reject cookies, the Site may not recognize you when you return, and some website functionality may be lost.

    At this time the Site does not respond to “do not track” signals.

    Changes to this Privacy Policy

    We may change this Policy at any time and without prior notice to you. Any changes will be effective immediately upon the posting of the revised Policy on the Site. If we make a significant change to this Policy we will provide appropriate notice. We will indicate at the top of this Policy when it was last updated.
